Faith in Face After Shower Look Hydrogel Mask

Review: Faith in Face After Shower Look Hydrogel Mask ★★☆☆☆

This is a 2-piece hydrogel mask that’s suppose to give you that vibrant chok chok skin that you get after a shower. The packaging design reminds me of Soap & Glory.

The ingredients list look pretty short and sweet. Notable ingredients: graprefruit extract (antioxidant), ceratonia siliqua gum (emollient), and hyaluronic acid (moisturizer).

Before masking

My skin is feeling mildly dry and irritated today. I’ve cleansed, toned, and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.

The hydrogel pieces are standard, sandwiched between a plastic backing and a paper backing. Essence was clear and pretty drippy. It gave off a strong floral fragrance which I did not like. Both pieces have textured side and a smooth side, the smooth should go on the skin.

During masking

They gave me a great fit but adherence was meh. The pieces were slowly sliding down and I also had a mask goatee. I had this on for about 30 mins.

Unlike other hydrogels I’ve tried, this feels more like a thick plastic sheet instead of an acutal gooey rubbery gel.

After masking

Essence absorbed quickly after some light patting and dried down matte. It felt very refreshing. My pore size did reduce, as with most hydrogel masks. My skin felt hydrated and looked bright and bouncy. But these effects were very short-lived, just like after an actual shower. I guess their claims held pretty true, down to the longevity of the effects.
