Review: Polatam Water Gel Extra Force Optimal Repairing Sheet Mask ★★★☆☆
Polatam Water Gel Extra Force Optimal Repairing Sheet Mask claims to soothe and deeply hydrate with 100% Korean oak tree sap, which contains large amounts of natural minerals and niacinimide to nourish and brighten skin. It makes me happy to see that this is free of parabens, synthetic dyes, and mineral oils. The beige packaging and gold logo reminds me of Karuna’s hydrating sheet mask.
My skin is feeling pretty good today, just a little dry and red. I’ve cleansed, toned, and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
Out of the packet, I detected a strong perfumey fragrance. Essence was as exact to the product name, watery gel. The soft cupro sheet resembled a bandage gauze.
Fit and adherence were okay. My upper lip was partially covered and that part of the sheet dried out the fastest. After 45 mins of wear, there were still lots of essence to pat in. It left behind a silky finish.
My skin felt soft and well hydrated. My redness was gone and skin looked glowy and plump. It dried down with a silky finish, a little moisturizer on top and it felt perfect. It felt better than it looked. However, halfway through the day, my skin felt dry again, redness was also back.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
I had really high hopes for this mask since it received such great reviews. Maybe it’s just not for me. Check out more Polatam reviews here.
