Review: Cre8skin It’s Real Color Cucumber Hydrogel Mask ★★★★☆
Love the see-through packaging of this mask! I really enjoy watching the juices slip and slide around! This mask claims to moisturize, balance, and relieve skin. It contains fresh cucumber fruit extract, centella asiatica extract, camellia sinensis leaf extract, licorice root extract, and hydrolyzed collagen.
While the in laws were in town, we brought them all over the place, resulting in my skin being lightly toasted (a thick layer of SPF 50 and a cap prevented me from burning). So for 4 nights in a row, I used this to hydrate and soothe my skin. It really worked! My husband was so sunburnt he actually asked for a piece too (which is rarer than a Mewtwo sighting)!
My skin is feeling pretty good today just a few post acne marks that need fading. I’ve cleansed, toned, and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
Out of the packet, this gave off a mild cucumber fragrance. There was tonsss of watery essence so be careful when handling the hydrogel pieces. The hydrogels came in 2 pieces for the top and bottom of the face. It also came sandwiched between 2 plastic backings for ease of application. The pieces didn’t feel any different from regular hydrogel masks, though they do have a textured and smooth side. Apparently the textured side does better at clinging on to the face, though the smooth side is pretty clingy too.
Fit and adherence were great! I noticed that the longer I have this on, the better it adhered. I had this on for 40 mins.
Upon removing the hydrogels, I noticed that the pieces had become thinner. Has my skin sucked the life out of them? I really hope so, because my skin felt hydrated and cool to the touch. There was no redness nor pores in sight. However, for my skin type, I did have to layer an occlusive cream over it to seal in the goodness.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
