Review: Moonshot G Dragon Fantastic Shining Mask ★★★☆☆
Eh, I’m not a kpop fan or anything (no offense, I just don’t listen to pop songs in general), I bought this purely because it’s unique and would make a great gift. Also, I never knew Moonshot makes skincare, I’ve only heard of their make up products.
This is a 3-step mask that comes with a cleansing foam, sheet mask, and eye cream. Great for travels! It claims to hydrate and brighten with allantoin, chamomile extract, betula alba bark extract, cypress, and bamboo extract.

My skin is feeling alright today, just looking a little dull with a couple of post-inflammatory erythema to address. I’ve not done anything to my skin at this point.

Step 1: One look at the pearlized texture of the cleansing foam tells me it has a high pH level. My super basic pH strips revealed that it’s between an 8 and 9. It gave off a light perfumey fragrance. Also “foam” was spelt “form” on the packaging.

It suds up very easily. I did not cleanse for a full minute like usual, for fear of damaging my already fragile epidermis. There was no stinging sensation.

Rinsing off was rather easy despite the soapy feel. Surprisingly my skin felt clean but not as squeaky and tight as I’d expected.

Step 2: The mask sheet felt soft and smooth and had a medium thickness. Essence was a clear watery gel and gave off a light cologne scent, very pleasant. Makes me wonder if this is how G Dragon would smell like hee hee!

Fit was great! Adherence was alright, it was clingy as first but boasted a poop ton of air bubbles at the 15 min mark. I had this on for a total of 30 mins, material at the chin was completely detached at this point.

While massaging in the essence, I noticed how smooth and soft my skin felt. My skin also looked very bright, radiant and less red. Finish was dewy but not tacky.

Step 3: This eye cream felt super thick and emollient. There was enough for 3-4 uses or extend down the neck as a neck cream. It sat on the skin around my eyes and took a long time to absorb or dry down.

The skin around my eyes are prone to milia seeds, I was afraid that with prolonged use, I might actually get them.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
Overall, this is a pretty great pack! It exceeded my expectations. My favorite is the sheet mask of course.
