I’m sure everyone has tried or at least heard of this by now. Annie’s Way is famous for their jelly masks and silk masks. The popular ones are honey, rose, hyaluronic acid, snail, and calendula. I was completely taken aback when I found out there are other variants like aloe, red wine, lavender (woot woot!), charcoal, and Q10! I’m now on a mission to try em’ all!
This variant claims to whiten, moisturize, minimize fine lines, and purify pores. Notable ingredients: arbutin extract (whitening), hyaluronic acid (moisturizing), magnesium ascorbyl phosphate (improve skin elasticity), dipotassium glycyrrhizinate (hydrate + reduce fine lines).
I appreciate that it comes with a seal that shows if it’s been opened before. I absolutely find it disgusting if my skincare product has been opened by someone else before.
My skin is feeling pretty dry and looking a little red today. I’ve cleansed and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
This tub of jelly came with the largest spatula I’ve ever seen in my entire existence. But it turned out to be a really handy tool for spreading the jelly around. I think I get why this giant tub of mask only has a shelf life of 3 months. The instructions called for spreading on a really thicker layer of jelly for maximum effectiveness. At this rate, the amount of jelly in this tub will last me about 8 masking sessions.
The thicker consistency helped because there was no issue with dripping. After 25 mins, I scraped off the excess with the giant spatula, then rinsed off the remaining jelly. Rinsing off can be a challenge, I find myself splashing and rubbing my skin more.
My skin felt a little tight after rinsing, but it wasn’t as tight as right after my usual cleansing. My skin looked bright and very calm, there was no redness in sight! Pores were smaller and skin also looked less sallow.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
Having also tried the rose variant, which is my HG, I would prefer that. But this is a very close second! Check out more Annie’s Way reviews here.
