Review: Skin Factory Real Honey Moisturizing Ampoule Mask ★★★☆☆
Honey is one of my skin’s favorite ingredients EVER, it is second only to centella asiatica.
This mask claims to moisturize skin, improve firmness, and accelerate healing. For a honey mask, I was surprised to see honey extract listed so far down the ingredients list. Other notable ingredients: scutellaria baicalensis root extract, bifida ferment lysate, panthenol, allantoin, and dipotassium glycyrrhizate.
My skin is a slightly irritated and dry today. I’ve cleansed, toned, and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
The one unique thing about this mask is the abundance of essence, 30ml to be exact. So we’re supposed to snip the bottom corner of the packaging and slather on some essence prior to applying the sheet mask. The honey scent was absolutely intoxicating! 😍 Essence was runny and watery. That cellulose mask material though 😒 was papery, stiff, and rough.
Fit was on the narrow side. Adherence was meh. I had to cut slits around the chin and nose to prevent the edges from flapping about. Even then, there were air bubbles and wrinkles everywhere. I had this on for 30 mins, it was already drying out.
Essence absorbed/dried down after a few quick pats. Finish looked silky and felt tacky. My skin felt very hydrated and redness was gone. I did not notice any brightening or pore-minimizing action. I also noticed some creases and mask fold lines on my face.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
Overall, this was an okay mask for everyday use. Suitable for all skin types for night masking. Check out more Skin Factory reviews here.
