Review: Banobagi Vita Cocktail Aqua Foil Mask ★★★☆☆
This Banobagi Vita Cocktail Foil Mask series consists of 3 types – brightening (silver), anti-aging (gold), and hydration (blue). It was the packaging and blue foil mask concept that motivated me to pick this up.
This blue version contains a cocktail of vitamins like magnesium, calcium, and vitamin liposome, along with hydrolyzed collagen. Together with a thick foil sheet that prevents essence from evaporating, this mask pack aims to deliver intense hydration.
By using your natural body heat to open your pores, this foil-backed sheet maskdelivers a one-way surge of skin-restoring concentrate deep into your skin for advanced night repair. As one of the primary contributors to the aging process is the loss of moisture, this foil sheet mask acts as a shield to preserve and protect your skin from aging.
My skin is a slightly congested and oily today. I’ve cleansed, toned, and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
Out of the packet, this gave off a strong mama lemon (dish washing liquid) scent. There was an abundant amount of clear watery-gel essence, specifically 30ml. The material was very thick, opaque and stiff, with blue foil on one side and white cotton on the other. They were split into 2 pieces, top and bottom.
Fit was great. There were plenty of deep cuts which made adjustment easier. Adherence was meh, as with most thicker materials. The edges were lifted from my skin, while the rest of the material was clinging on thanks to the wetness. I had this on for 30 mins, it was starting to feel too warm.
Upon lifting the mask off, there was a welcoming sense of coolness on my skin. There were lots of essence left on my skin, which took alot of time and effort to pat in. Finish was dewy and tacky. My skin felt very hydrated. I also noticed slight brightening and calming effects. Overall, this gave me a healthy radiant complexion.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
Recommended for dry skin for night use and when you want to look like a futuristic mermaid while masking. My favorite of this series is still the brightening version. Check out more Banobagi reviews here.
