I’ve never heard of this brand. But thanks to @lovefaceco, I learnt that Soffy Girl is a Taiwanese brand with colorful and pretty packaging. I adore the handles on their masks! Makes me wanna fancy strut down the street with this on one arm while tossing my hair left and right hehe! Their herbal mask range includes immortelle (today’s pick), rose, aloe, seaweed, natto, and lavender.
This mask claims to nourish the skin, repairing fine lines and restore elasticity to the skin. It contains aloe leaf juice (3rd), licorice root extract (4th), immortelle extract (5th), and niacinamide (6th), just to name a few. The ingredients list of 16 items looked pretty clean except propylene glycol (2nd) and MIT (16th).
My skin is slightly irritated and congested today. I’ve cleansed, toned, and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
Out of the packet, I caught a light floral fragrance. Essence was watery. The super soft and thin material came with a thin perforated plastic backing and felt almost like silk, just a tad firmer. Reminds me of newer MBD masks.
Fit was alright. I wish it could be longer so it cups my chin and cover my entire forehead. It looked wider than it is long. The multitudes of deeps cuts allowed me to adjust it to cup my face snugly. Adherence was great! Though it popped up when I moved around abit, but it stuck back onto my skin pretty quickly.
I had this on for 30 mins, it was already drying out. There was a very slight minty cool sensation throughout.
After patting in the essence, my skin felt perfectly hydrated. My skin type requires a moisturizer to seal everything in. Finish was matte and not tacky. I also noticed some brightening and calming. No change to pores though.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
This is a great one for normal-oily skin type. Always happy to discover new Taiwanese masks, can’t wait to try the rest!
