Seoul Mamas Revitalizing Mask, the company’s sole product, is made from 100% bamboo and contains many beneficial ingredients such as:
caviar extract which has vitamins and minerals that are antioxidants
hyaluronic acids to help retain moisture in skin
apple and wild cherry fruit extract which contain vitamin C and antioxidants to help brighten skin
chamomile flower extract to reduce the appearance of dark spots from sun damage
I’m honestly a little disappointed to see alcohol listed so high on the ingredients list and fragrance listed before apple and wild cherry fruit extract. However, this mask garnered many good reviews so I’m still hopeful!
My skin is extremely congested from skipping exfoliation for the past 2 weeks while I was on vacation. I’ve cleansed, toned, and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
Out of the packet, I detected a strong but clean scent. Essence was clear and watery yet not drippy. The bamboo material felt thin and luxuriously soft. It was easy to unfold and apply despite the lack of backing.
Fit was great though I wish it could be longer and cover my entire forehead. The general size was on the small side so wider face shapes might not get a good fit with this.
Adherence was great if I kept a still face. I took the mask off after 30 mins, it was still damp.
There was lots of essence left to pat in. While doing so, I noticed how soft and smooth my skin felt. Hydration was also amazing! So much so that I skipped moisturizer and went straight to sunscreen. My skin looked slightly less red and pores looked slightly smaller. I did not notice any brightening effects. Finish was dewy and felt just a tad sticky.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
I really liked this mask overall! But due to the price point, I’ll save it for special occasions.
