My skin is extremely congested and irritated from skipping exfoliation for the past 2 weeks while I was on vacation. I’ve cleansed, toned, and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
Out of the packet, I detected a strong citrus scent. Essence was milky. It was a challenge to unfold due to the lack of a backing.
The 100% natural bamboo material felt luxuriously soft and had a medium thinness. This is a plant fiber sheet made by combining nanofiber technology with bamboo yarn. It is an eco-friendly material that enhances transparency and shine by putting on essence and improves moisturizing effect by excellent moisture storage ability.
Application was surprisingly easy despite the softness of the material and absence of a backing. Fit was great on me but it might be a tad too small for wider face shapes. Adherence was also great! It clung on to my skin the entire 30 mins. I was expecting it to sting as with most vitamin C masks on my sensitive skin, but it did not! What a pleasant surprise! I took the mask off after 30 mins.
There were lots of essence left to pat in. It absorbed into my skin really quickly and left a matte and non-tacky finish. My skin felt moderately hydrated. It was also looking slightly calmer and alot brighter. But not in a change-my-foundation-shade kinda way, it’s more like an overall radiance that makes me look awake. There was no change to my pore size.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
Considering how affordable this mask is, I was pretty impressed! Looks like a great daily mask for oily and dull skin types!
