Review: Ariul Spearmint & Green Apple Juice Cleanse Mask ★★★☆☆
Ariul Spearmint & Green Apple Juice Cleanse Mask provides deep cleansing and a cooling effect that can soothe exhausted skin. Spearmint calms irritated skin by minimizing redness. Aids with healing and repairing troubled skin using the principle of a nutritious juice cleanse. I absolutely adore the juice bottle packaging!
This variant is one of four masks in Ariul’s Juice Cleanse series that uses the principle of a nutritious juice cleanse. The four variants are:
My skin is feeling a tad dry and sensitive today, not too bad. I’ve cleansed, exfoliated, and toned my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
Out of the packet, I caught the standard sheet mask fragrance. The natural corn leaf fiber material had a yellow tinge and felt thick, stiff, and rough. Essence had a watery-gel consistency. Despite having only 20ml of essence, there was still alot left over after taking out the mask.
Fit was moderate, the eye holes were too small. People with larger eyes will find this irritating. There was a large gap around the nose flap, my nose is pretty flat so I have no issues with it, but people with a taller nose bridge might find a larger part of their nose uncovered. However, I do like that the mask was long enough to both cover my entire forehead as well as cup my chin.
Adherence was, surprisingly, above average, considering how coarse the material was. Air bubbles were minimal and fold line remained flat.
Halfway through masking, the material was starting to dry out so I poured the excess essence onto the mask to keep it damp. I took the mask off after 30 mins, again, it was starting to dry out, especially around the edges.
After patting in the essence, my skin had a dewy and semi-tacky finish. Hydration was above average but it wasn’t sufficient for my skin as it got drier as the weather got colder. Perhaps I could get away without sealing it in with a moisturizer in the summer. Redness was reduced and skin looked brighter too. I don’t think it did anything for my pores.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
Overall, it is a pretty average mask for daily use. Oily skin types will probably enjoy this mask more than I did. Check out more Ariul reviews here.
