My skin is feeling a tad dry and very sensitive today. I’ve cleansed, toned, and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
Out of the packet, I caught a heavy perfumey fragrance. The cupra mask sheet felt very soft, very juicy, and came with a mesh backing with tabs for easy application. Essence had a watery-gel consistency.
Adherence was great! Fit was okay, I love that this actually covers my entire forehead, which is rare. However, my top lip was covered the entire time. Perhaps the material there should be lesser.
I took this mask off after 30 mins, it was starting to show signs of drying out at the 20 mins mark.
There was some essence left to pat in, it left behind a tacky and dewy finish. Aside from slight brightening and calming effects, I also noticed how hydrated my skin felt. This mask did what it claimed to do and did it extremely well. My skin felt plump, bouncy and soft. I could get away without a moisturizer even in the winter.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
I’m conflicted. On one hand this did what it claimed to do and did it well. But it excelled at only one function. I’ve tried masks that are able to hydrate, calm, brighten, and provide pore care equally well. Perhaps this is a great mask for people whose only issue is dryness, since I have a variety of skin issues to address, this was just an above average mask for me.
