Review: Dr Jart+ Ceramidin Skin-Friendly Nanoskin Sheet Mask ★★★★★
Dr Jart+ Ceramidin Skin-Friendly Nanoskin Sheet Mask is an ultra-moisturizing hypoallergenic sheet mask made of natural fiber and contains ceramides encapsulated in skin-friendly liposomes to maximize absorption.
Ceramide prevents moisture from evaporating, strengthens sensitive skin structure, and restores original skin condition.
This sheet mask is dermatologist tested and a safe prescription that is free of 10 harmful ingredients including parabens, talc, mineral oils, sulfate-based surfactants, tar dyes, triethanolamine, benzophenone-5, benzyl alcohol, polyacrylamide, and artificial fragrances.
My skin is feeling very dry and very irritated today. I’ve cleansed, toned, and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
Upon opening the packet, I detected a faint medicinal fragrance that resembled its more popular counterpart, the Ceramidin Cream. Unlike most sheet masks, the essence had a milky-creamy consistency and was in abundance. Despite containing only 25 g of essence, I managed to scoop out 2 palms full of essence which I slathered all over my face and body. I wish the essence exists as a standalone product because my skin was absolutely loving it and sucking it all up.
Forgot to mention that I did accidentally spill a palm full of essence in the process of scooping it out. But I swiped it off the counter and slathered it all over my body #noshame
The sheet mask felt thick and stiff, yet very soft and smooth. I guess the best way to describe it is a thick microfiber material. It doesn’t come with a backing, I guess there is no need for it since it wasn’t soft enough to stick onto itself. It was unevenly covered in essence so it was a good thing that I coated my skin with the excess essence first.
Fit was great! The fit was a little on the small size, it was covering the inner perimeter of my face. Larger face shapes may find this too small. Otherwise the holes were perfectly lined up and I was able get it to conform to my face shape.
Adherence was a little shy of amazing. Were there exist no fold lines, the material clung on for its dear life. But fold lines refused to stay flat no matter how many times I smoothed them down.
At the end of 40 mins (I kinda lost track of time here due to chores), the mask was getting pretty dry and material was hanging loose around my chin.
There was very little essence left to pat in. While doing so, I noticed how hydrated and soft my skin felt. The finish of this was unique. It looked silky but did not feel tacky nor greasy, just a layer of smooth velvety skin. I don’t think the after picture is doing the mask justice because in real life, my skin looked absolutely flawless. All my dry flakes, redness, PIH and PIE are completely gone. It saved my skin from dryness and irritation and more! My skin looked bright, glowy, and healthy! Moisturizer was optional. The only thing I disliked were the creases indented into my skin, but it wasn’t a big deal because it went away in a couple of minutes.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
If I had to pick a mask to bring to a deserted island, this is it. It is suitable for all skin types especially dry/dehydrated and sensitive skin. Despite the slightly higher than usual price point, I will still repurchase it over and over. Check out more Dr Jart+ reviews here.
