Review: Banobagi Vita Genic Relaxing Jelly Mask ★★★★★
Banobagi Vita Genic Relaxing Jelly Mask is a unique mask that contains liposome jelly that is specially formulated to deliver micro-nutrients into the skin, which allows for the fullest product absorption, deep into the skin’s surface. This highly-concentrated essence features 20,000ppm of a Vitamin Complex derived from premium natural ingredients, giving the skin an incredible boost of moisture and nourishment in minutes.
Featuring aloe vera extract from Jeju Island and Vitamin B to calm, heal, and hydrate sensitive and dry skin, this mask also contains beneficial ingredients like niacinamide, ubiquinone, hyaluronic acid, and adenosine.
It is formulated without coal tar, dye, tea, silicones, propylene glycol, formaldehyde-releasers, mit, sodium lauryl sulfate, sulfates, triclosan, peg, parabens, formaldehyde, talc, mineral oil, and alcohol.
My skin is feeling slightly dry and feeling very irritated today. I’ve cleansed, toned, and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
Out of the packet, I caught a strong perfumey fragrance. The packet contains a whopping 30 ml of clear gel essence. There was enough essence for my neck, arms, and face prior to slapping on the sheet mask.
The cotton sheet had a medium thickness and felt soft. Unfolding the mask wasn’t challenging even though it didn’t come with a backing. The mask was soaked all the way through and also completely covered in gel essence. Unlike some other masks with thicker jelly essences, this mask was evenly coated with essence and had no drier patches in some areas.
Fit was great! I was amazed by how long the mask was, enough to cover my entire forehead and also cup my chin. There weren’t enough slits to get the mask to hug my face so I had to squish and crumple some areas with excess material. Adherence was great thanks to the tacky gel essence. I had this on for 40 mins, it was still very damp when I took the mask off.
There were lots of essence left to pat in. It took quite awhile for the essence to absorb/dry down. Finish was tacky and dewy at first but eventually toned down and felt more comfortable.
My skin felt deeply hydrated and very bouncy. This is how I imagine “chok chok” skin feels like! Redness was completely gone and my skin looked radiant and even-toned. Pore size was also rudiced due to the plumping effect.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
This is suitable for all skin types although I think oily skin types will prefer to use this at night due to the tackiness. So far, this and the Vita Cocktail Brightening Foil Mask are my favorites from Banobagi. Check out more Banobagi reviews here.
