A. By Bom Ultra Water Leaf Mask is the brand’s latest Spring 2018 addition to their range of sheet masks. The packaging artwork is dainty, pretty, and to-die-for as always. The floral designs are so apt for this time of the year, when flowers and plants are at the peak of their blooms.
This sheet mask focuses on hydrating and moisturizing the skin with ingredients like:
Japanese White Birch Juice: tighten pores and retain moisture in skin
Hinoki Cypress Water: soothe dehydrated skin
English Lavender Water: detoxify and smooth skin
Korean Perilla Leaf Extract: deeply hydrate and prevent water loss
My skin is feeling slightly dry and slightly irritated, no more than usual. I’ve cleansed, exfoliated, and toned my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
Out of the packet, the sheet mask gave off a light and fresh floral fragrance. The material felt plushy soft and had medium thinness.
Bemliese™ uses 100% cotton linter as raw material without any adhesive. It’s the world’s only regenerated cupro filament non-woven sheet that is naturally dissolvable.
It was coated and soaked in thick gel-jelly essence. I like that it stayed put the entire time without dripping everywhere. Albeit containing 30 ml of essence, there was hardly any left in the packet. This is a good sign as most of the essence is on the sheet.
Another thing I like is the mesh backing. Instead of coming in the shape of the sheet mask, this one came in a semi-circle shape. This is genius because it performed its function of holding up the sheet mask and aid in the unfolding of it, it also required less resources. More brands should be doing this!
Fit was great! It lined up with my features perfectly and was large enough to cover my entire face. My only minor complain is the tiny nose tent which can be easily resolved by deepening the cuts next to the nose.
Adherence was good. Fold lines did not pop up and air bubbles did not appear. But I could feel it slowly sliding downwards throughout the masking session.
I had this on for 45 mins, it was still very damp.
There were lots of essence left to pat in. It took about 5 – 10 mins of continuous patting and massaging before most of the essence absorbed and dried down to a tacky finish with a silky look.
My skin felt soft and very hydrated from the inside out. Just what a dehydrated skin needs. I would still need a light moisturizer to seal it in and prevent water loss due to evaporation.
My skin also calmed down despite still showing some redness. There was a slight increase in the radiance of my skin but no change to my pore size.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
This is another sheet mask that I think all skin types will like! I particularly enjoyed admiring the beautiful purple design on the packaging. But the Super Power Baby 2-Step Ultra Cool Leaf Mask is still my favorite from the brand. Check out more A. by Bom reviews here.
