PACKage Sweet Dream Deep Sleeping Mask is a nourishing, fragrance-free sheet mask that contains natural lavender oil which has anti-inflammatory properties and works to purify the skin. A true “deep sleeping mask”, the natural lavender scent from lavender oil acts to calm the nervous system and as an aromatherapy to enhance both psychological and physical well-being. The creamy essence is packed with lavender oil, shea butter, and jojoba oil to balance overall moisture levels and provide nutrients for the skin.
My skin is feeling extremely dry and dehydrated due to the dry Las Vegas heat. There are a couple of pimples along my jawline and outer cheek that are red, sensitive, and sore to the touch. I’ve cleansed, exfoliated, and toned my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
Out of the packet, I caught a mild and lovely lavender scent. The sheet was coated in thick cream essence. Unlike other cream masks I’ve tried, the essence of this mask wasn’t a smooth cream. Instead, it is chunky and uneven, kinda like cottage cheese.
The medium thick and slightly rough sheet was unevenly coated in cream essence. Due to the high opacity of the essence, I had a challenging time trying to find the edges and unfold the sheet mask. Once unfolded, I found that the cream essence mostly coated the outside of the sheet, leaving little to no essence on the inside where it was supposed to touch my skin. To overcome that, I scraped the essence from the outside and applied to the drier areas of my face like forehead and cheeks, before placing the mask on.
There was almost no cream essence left in the packet once the sheet mask was removed.
Fit was alright. The sheet was large hence the excess on the sides. The holes were of a good size and were perfectly lined up with my features. The multiple slits also helped tremendously with getting a good fit.
Adherence was alright at well. The edges and the drier parts of the sheet lifted some. Fold lines were also popping up.
I took the mask off after 35 mins, it was still creamy and damp.
I absolutely adore the message on the left side of the sheet! It was so comforting to see “You did well today, sweet dreams”, after a long and exhausting day.
There was lots of essence to massage in. It felt like I was applying lotion to my face. Despite having a cottage cheese-like texture, the cream essence emulsified and turned into a light lotion once rubbed in. Finish was slightly greasy and had a silky look.
My skin felt tremendously relieved from the dryness. Moisturization was at an all time high and it helped that my face smelled so lovely after the masking session. Skin was looking more radiant as well. There was a slight calming effect but nothing too noteworthy. My skin felt slightly hydrated, which wasn’t enough to combat my dehydration. It’s a good thing I had a layer of toner underneath the sheet mask. However, if I’d known, I would’ve layered on more watery skincare products prior to using this mask. If I had done so, my skin wouldn’t have felt so tight and dry with a layer of grease on top, 4 hours after masking.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
This could be a great mask when used correctly. It is highly suitable for dry skin and cold, dry nights. Oily skin types need to stay away from this mask as it could feel too icky. This is also not suitable for hot nights.
I love the lavender cream more as a moisturizer than a sheet mask essence. I would totally purchase it if it were to be available as such. Check out more PACKage reviews here.
