Oerbeua Firming Mask - Mona Lisa

Review: Oerbeua Firming Mask – Mona Lisa ★★★★☆

The Oerbeua mask line from Dr. Gloderm has cute and fun packaging featuring a different famous renaissance painting for each function. This Oerbeua Firming Mask showcases probably the most famous painting of all, the Mona Lisa. Art aside, this firming mask claims to smooth and soften skin using these key ingredients:

  • Glycerin – A humectant that moisturizes the skin by drawing water from the air into the skin’s outer layer while also preventing moisture loss.
  • Betaine – Functioning as an anti-irritant and humectant, this ingredient can decrease the depth of wrinkles to give the skin a smoother appearance.
  • Cauliflower Extract – Improves the texture of your skin by promoting collagen production and delaying the signs of aging.

Oerbeua Firming Mask - Mona Lisa
Before masking

My skin is feeling balanced and normal today. Redness and acne are at bay. Hence this is a good day to be testing out a firming mask. I’ve cleansed, exfoliated, and toned my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.

Out of the packet, I caught a mild floral scent. Essence had a watery-gel consistency and completely drenched the sheet.

The sheet mask material felt like cotton and was pretty thin and very soft. It did not come with a backing but was pretty easy to unfold and apply.

During masking

Fit and adherence were great considering how cottony the material felt. However, there wasn’t any excess material on the side so people with wider face shapes might find it insufficient. The sheet clung on very well throughout the entire 35 mins of masking session. It was still damp when it removed the mask.

After masking

There were lots of essence left to pat in. Finish was immediately tacky and dewy but continued to dry down to become slightly more comfortable.

My skin felt very hydrated and moisturized. There was no need for a moisturizer on my combo skin in the day time. I might require a gel moisturizer to seal everything in if I were to use this mask in the evening. Oily skin might find the tackiness a tad greasy while dry skin might find the moisturization a tad insufficient.

My skin also felt soft, supple, and plump. All the effects I’d expect from a firming mask. Visibly, there was much of an improvement for I did not see any brightening nor calming effects.

Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.

This is a pretty impressive mask considering how low the price point is. I don’t mind getting them all just to admire the fun packaging!
