Review: Evercos Bogam Herbal Clinic Red Ginseng Sheet Mask ★★★★.☆
The Evercos range of premium sheet masks are infused with different hanbang (traditional herbal medicine) ingredients to reveal a brighter and revitalized complexion in as little as 15 minutes. Red ginseng provides needed nutrients to the skin to help cultivate clear and beautiful skin. I have a bias towards anything hanbang as I grew up drinking lots of herbal soups lovingly brewed by my late grandmother. Plus, hanbang skincare have always worked amazingly on me and I really love the scent. Hence I have lots of positive feelings towards it.
My skin is feeling balanced and normal today. Redness and acne are at bay so I’m focusing on anti-aging and brightening. I’ve cleansed, exfoliated, and toned my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
Each Evercos mask is made of 100% cellulose, which adheres closely to the skin, hugging facial contours for better penetration of active essence and prolonged moisture retention. The material looked like a bandage gauze and had a medium thickness and softness. It did not come with a backing.
The clear gel essence completely drenched and coated the sheet as I fished it out of the packaging. It was also giving off a rather strong ginseng scent, which I rather enjoy but may be too much for some people.
Fit and adherence were great! The holes were of the right size, at least for my Asian features they are. The sheet was also large enough to cover my entire face as well as cup my chin. I did not notice any air bubbles surfacing throughout the wear. Fold lines did not pop up and the sides were not lifted at all.
I took the mask off after 35 mins, it was still very damp.
There were lots of essence left to massage into my skin. Finish was highly tacky and dewy at first but after 15 mins or so, it dried down to become a little less.
My skin felt very hydrated and moisturized. There was no need for a moisturizer on my combo skin. Dry skin types might require a light moisturizer while oily skin can only use this at night and remove the excess with a toner-soaked cotton pad.
My skin felt firm, supple, soft, and plump. It also looked radiant with smooth skin texture. Fine less and pores were diminished.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
Aside from the lack of brightening and the overly tacky finish, I thoroughly enjoyed this mask! It is priced affordably enough for a once-a-week treat. Will be stocking up on more! Check out more Evercos reviews here.
