Before masking

My skin is feeling balanced and normal today. There was only some slight redness but no sensitivity. I’ve cleansed, exfoliated, and toned my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.

Out of the packet, I caught a strong spicy cologne scent. Essence was clear and had a watery-gel consistency.

The biocellulose sheet had a medium thinness and felt soft and smooth. It did not come with a backing. It was completely drenched in essence and was dripping as I was applying the mask to my face.

During masking

Fit was acceptable for the most part. I found the holes too small for my features. Essence was dripping into my eyes and mouth. I also had to deepen the cuts on the sides of my nose to flatten the lifts and nose tent. It was a small sheet overall and was only covering the inner perimeter of my face.

Adherence was also average. Fold lines around my mouth were lifted hence introduced air bubbles under the sheet.

I took the mask off after 45 mins, it was starting to dry out, especially around my chin.

After masking

The remaining essence absorbed and dried down with ease, leaving behind a non-tacky, non-greasy finish that felt velvety and looked semi-matte.

My skin had a moderate to high amount of hydration with a moderate amount of moisturization. This balancing effect was ideal on my combo and dehydration-prone skin. Oily skin should only use this in the evening as day time use might prove to be too greasy, while dry skin types might find the amount of moisturization insufficient.

I also noticed my skin looking slighter brighter with lesser redness and a smoother skin texture. Skin also felt plump and soft.

Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.

Considering the price point of this mask, I am highly impressed and will be repurchasing more for the summer time!
