Review: Papa Recipe Bombee Fruitables Green Squeeze Relaxing Mask ★★★★.☆
Papa Recipe Green Squeeze Relaxing Mask contains Green squeeze complex made of 5 extracts, including broccoli, green tea, avocado, kale and kiwi, to comfortably soothe sensitive skin and replenish it with moisture. The combination of these ingredients look more like a shale than a sheet mask!
Key ingredients and benefits:
Broccoli is enriched with vitamin C, which has numerous antioxidant properties, it is great for anti-ageing.
Green tea contains a powerful antioxidant called EGCG that fights DNA damage from UV rays to prevent skin cancer. That means it’s also a potent anti-aging ingredient that combats signs of aging when ingested or applied topically.
Avocado is rich in fatty acids and is excellent for moisturizing the skin. In addition to vitamin E, avocado oil contains potassium, lecithin, and many other nutrients that can nourish and moisturize the skin.
Kale contains tons of antioxidants, vitamins A, B, C, K, iron, calcium, protein, and potassium. It has the potential to heal, hydrate, detoxify and reduce inflammation.
Kiwi has vitamin C, which helps fight dark spots that are associated with both sun damage and aging, so skin looks more evenly toned.
The extracts are obtained via a special squeeze solution:
My skin is feeling normal to oily as the days get hotter. Due to hormonal fluctuations and the bad air quality in the bay area, my skin is experiencing an overall sensitivity and also sprouting a few red, itchy spots. I’ve cleansed and toned my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
Out of the packet, I caught a delicious fruity scent. It reminded me of Starburst Jolly Rancher candies. Essence was clear and had a gel-like consistency.
The 100% plant-based cellulose material felt very soft and very smooth. It was also very thin but did not come with a backing. This proved to be a challenge to unfold. Hence I find the below info graphic absolutely necessary for first-timers.
Fit was good. The sheet was large enough to cover my entire face but I just find the material around the chin slightly lacking. The holes were perfectly lined up with my features but they were too small. I experience essence trickling into my eyes and lips.
Adherence was great! The soft and thin sheet comfortably hugged the contours of my face for the entire masking session.
I took the mask off after 30 mins, it was still very damp.
There were lots of essence left on my skin. It absorbed with ease after some patting and massaging. Finish was non-sticky and non-greasy with a semi-matte look. But it continued to dry down quickly to become matte and smooth.
My skin felt intensely hydrated and moderately moisturized. As the essence continued to dry down, I felt my skin getting a tad drier. This effect felt very comfortable on my combo skin especially on a hot summer day. But I layered on a hydrating serum and moisturizer to prevent my dehydration-prone skin from losing more moisture. As such, this is suitable for all skin types.
The greatest improvement I saw was to my skin texture. My skin looked so smooth and plump with lesser fine lines and smaller pores. My skin also looked very calm and very radiant with an even skin tone.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
I am superbly impressed by this mask! Papa Recipe tend to make good masks yet this one still exceeded my expectations. I took off half a point for the rapid drying sensation but it wasn’t something that couldn’t be easily fixed. Check out more Papa Recipe reviews here.
