Review: Haruharu Wonder Honey Green Aqua Bomb Mask ★★★★☆
Haruharu Wonder Honey Green Aqua Bomb Mask contains extracts of fermented green tea and honey mainly for anti-inflammatory effect. Green tea is full of polyphenol, flavonoid organic acids, vitamins and amino acids where as honey contains rich proteins, vitamins, organic acids and minerals. It also contains hyaluronic acid to hydrate and moisturize, niacinamide for brightening, and adenosine for anti-wrinkle effect. The ingredients are at least 95% of natural origin.
This mask is one part of 4 sheet masks in Haruharu’s Starter Kit. The other 3 masks are:
Honey Green Repairative
Maqui Berry Antioxidant
Honey Green Brilliant
They are all applied with WONDER’s very own patented natural liposome technology, which encourages healthy skin functions, including regeneration, anti-inflammatory responses, and targeting a multitude of skin imperfections.
My skin is feeling very dehydrated and tight. It is also flushed and easily sensitized due to hormonal fluctuations. I’ve cleansed and toned my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
Out of the packet, I caught a strong fragrance that reminded me of car air fresheners. Essence was thin and runny.
The black sheet is made of environmentally-friendly microfibril that contains Moso Bamboo charcoal powder giving the sheet an excellent skin adhesive property and impurity absorbing quality. The sheet felt soft and thin and did not come with a backing. It wasn’t as saturated as I’d like.
Fit was good. It was such a large sheet that part of my ears were covered. The slits were insufficient but the soft sheet was easy to manipulate for fit. The holes were positioned nicely with decent sized holes.
Adherence looked to be great. Due to the opacity of the sheet, I was able to see if I’d pushed out all air bubbles or if any had surfaced during the wear. I did not observe any obvious lifts either. It felt to be clinging on pretty well.
I took the mask off after 30 mins, it was starting to dry out.
There wasn’t much essence left to pat in. Finish was non-tacky and look semi-matte.
My skin felt nicely hydrated and moderately moisturized. It had a balancing effect and felt very comfortable on my combo skin. Oily skin will really enjoy this too. Dry skin will have to use this like a toner mask and apply hydrating serum and moisturizer afterwards.
The greatest improvement I saw was the plumpness of my skin. It was choked full of water and had a very smooth texture. Pores were alot less visible due to the plumping effect.
There was a slight amount of redness left on my skin but my skin tone looked even, radiant, and healthy overall.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
For such an affordable mask, it sure is highly effective! I wish it wouldn’t smell so strong.
