Review: Papa Recipe Bombee Fruitables Red Squeeze Intensive Mask ★★★★.☆
Papa Recipe Bombee Fruitables Red Squeeze Intensive Mask contains red squeeze complex made of 5 extracts, including tomato, apple, pomegranate, mangosteen and red currant, to relieve stress and enhance skin condition. The combination of these ingredients look more like a shake than a sheet mask!
Key ingredients and benefits:
Tomato contains Lycopene, a powerful antioxidant that helps prevent collagen deterioration. This antioxidant also works to scavenge free radicals.
Apple is rich in antioxidants like vitamin C and natural acids. It is also a natural astringent that can help large pores appear smaller for oily skin types.
Pomegranate is rich in antioxidants that help fight and repair free radical damage from the sun and environmental stressors such as hyperpigmentation and age spots.
Mangosteen is rich in antioxidants and helps to prevent pimples and pigmentation.
Red currant is rich in B vitamins and Vitamin C to keep skin firm and provide anti-aging benefits.
The extracts are obtained via a special squeeze solution:
My skin is feeling pretty normal, sebum production wise. It’s redder than usual but no sensitivity. I’ve cleansed and toned my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
Out of the packet, I caught a strong berry fragrance. It was too much for my sensitive nose. Essence was clear and had a gel-like consistency.
The 100% plant-based cellulose material felt very soft and very smooth. It was also very thin but did not come with a backing. This proved to be a challenge to unfold. Hence I find the below info graphic absolutely necessary for first-timers.
Fit was good. The sheet was large enough to cover my entire face but I just find the material around the chin slightly lacking. The holes were perfectly lined up with my features but they were too small. I experienced essence trickling into my eyes and lips.
Adherence was great! The soft and thin sheet comfortably hugged the contours of my face for the entire masking session.
I took the mask off after 30 mins, it was still very damp.
There was lots of essence left to pat in. It absorbed and dried down with ease, leaving behind a slightly tacky and semi-matte finish.
My skin felt intensely hydrated and nicely moisturized. My combo skin felt comfortable enough not to apply a layer of moisturizer of this when used in the day. I would definitely require a moisturizer at night. As such, I think this mask is suitable for all skin types.
The greatest improvement I saw was to the tone of my skin. My skin looked so much brighter and even-toned. Redness has also subsided a great deal. However, amazing as they were, these effects were temporary and only lasted a few hours.
Aside from the improvements to my skin tone, my skin texture also looked very smooth and plump. Pores looked smaller and fine lines were diminished.
These effects were very similar to Taiwanese masks aside from the additional moisturization that this mask provided.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
