Wonjin Medi Hydro Vial

Review: Wonjin Medi Hydro Vial ★★★★.☆

Wonjin Effect Medi Hydro Vial Mask uses six types of Hyaluronic Acid, all with different molecular weights (1000 Dalton small molecules to 2 million Dalton high molecules), to penetrate the skin on every level. The high intensity moisturizing effects are immediate, giving skin instant plumpness and bounce, and also strengthening the skin barrier. This mask employs Aquacil, an ingredient that encourages moisture retention within the skin thus resulting in reduced water loss. Aquacil, along with the Hyaluronic Acids, infuse and hold moisture in, giving the skin a hydration bomb.

My skin is feeling sensitive and even more prone to dehydration due to the colder temperatures. I’ve cleansed and toned my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.

Out of the packet, I detected a moderately strong cologne scent. The scent slow dissipated and did not feel as strong when the mask was on. Essence was clear and had a runny gel consistency. The application process got a little messy as the essence dripped everywhere. There was enough essence left in the packet for application on the entire body.

The mask material was super thin and soft, almost silk-like. I wasn’t surprised that it came with a backing to hold its shape.

Fit was good to great. The soft material made it really pliable. But the overall size of the sheet was on the small side and only covered the inner perimeter of my face. The holes were also too small for my features, so much so that essence dripped into my eyes and mouth during the masking process.

I took the mask off after 30 mins, it was starting to dry out.

The remaining essence absorbed with ease after a few quick pats. Finish was matte and non-tacky.

My combo skin felt intensely hydrated but only moderately moisturized. A moisturizer was required especially since I used it during the cold season. I still think it is suitable for all skin types but oily skin will enjoy this more.

The greatest improvement I saw was to my skin texture. The plumping effects were out of this world! My skin looked and felt baby smooth. Fine lines and pores were blurred.

My skin also looked alot less red and alot more even-toned. I prefer this type of improvement compared to masks that temporarily brighten my skin tone and made it look a couple shades lighter.

Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.

This mask was true to its claims. I loved the water bomb effect and wished it were be a little more moisturizing. I would still recommend and repurchase this mask. Check out more Wonjin reviews here.
