Naruko AM + PM RX10 Peptide Firming & Repairing Mask prevents aging, hydrates skin, locks in moisture and restores elasticity. It contains 10 different types of peptides to prevent skin aging, as well as a blend of essential oils to moisturize. Please avoid this if you have a known skin allergy to essential oils. I have no issues with it, in fact, my skin loves it.
My skin is feeling sensitive and even more prone to dehydration due to the colder temperatures. I’ve cleansed and toned my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
Out of the packet, I caught a creamy scent. I was expecting the essence to have a creamy texture, instead, it is clear and runny.
The mask material was a thick pulp fabric. It’s one of my least favorite material due to its low adherence and pliability. I’ve seen this type of material mainly used in Taiwanese sheet masks. It did not come with a backing.
Fit was good where there were lots of cuts to allow manipulation. The holes were of good sizes and positioned correctly. However, it was a rather short sheet.
Adherence was average, as expected. There were lifts and air bubbles because the thick material had a hard time clinging tightly to the skin. Nevertheless, it did not slip and slide and stayed put throughout the masking process. By the end of it, the material around my chin was hanging loose.
I took the mask off after 30 mins, it was drying out. I recommend not waiting this long. 20 mins is a long enough wait time.
The remaining essence absorbed quickly into my skin, leaving behind a matte and non-tacky finish.
My skin felt very hydrated and slightly moisturized. This 80-20 levels felt perfect on my combo skin. All I needed was a gel moisturizer to seal everything in. I think oily skin will enjoy this too. Dry skin might need to follow up with a hydrating serum and a cream.
As much as I was disappointed by the fit and adherence, I was wowed by the effects of the mask. My skin felt very supple and bouncy, like firm tofu. I can’t help touching my face and poking it.
My skin also looked more even-toned but only slightly less red. I did apply a calming serum to address the issue.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
I’ve never encountered a mask that could firm up my skin this much. I was willing to overlook the lack in redness reducing. It it did what it claimed to do and did it well. I’m impressed with this affordable mask and highly recommends it to anyone who is facing a loss of skin firmness. Find more reviews of Naruko sheet masks here.
