Review: Dearpacker Royal Black Tea & Black Rose Hydrogel Mask ★★★★.☆
Dearpacker Royal Black Tea & Black Rose Hydrogel Mask contains 35% black rose extract and 35% black tea extract to moisturize and restore elasticity to the skin, prepping it for makeup. This hydrogel mask has real bits and pieces of tea leaves embedded into it. The fermented tea leaves in this mask also help to brighten the skin and give it that luminous glow and shine.
Key ingredients and benefits:
Black Tea contains loads of antioxidants, which fight free radicals. It also contains contains vitamins B2, C, E to promote radiance and a more even skin tone.
Anti-inflammatory properties enable Rose Extract to help minimize redness and soothe irritation. It also has the ability to improve skin elasticity.
This mask does not contain tar dyes, artificial fragrances, paraben, or mineral oils.
My skin is extra sensitive and red today. Sebum-wise, it’s feeling like normal skin with the usual slight dehydration. I’ve cleansed and toned my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
Out of the packet, I caught a faint floral scent. Essence was brown and had a runny-gel consistency.
The hydrogel mask came in 2 pieces, 1 for the top and 1 for the bottom of the face. It felt thin yet sturdy and came sandwiched between 2 plastic backings. One side felt slightly smoother than the other but I don’t think there’s a correct side to put against the skin. The brown bits embedded in the hydrogel mask were evenly distributed and did not have any texture.
There was a cool sensation upon putting the hydrogel mask to my skin.
Fit was perfect because the mask came in 2 pieces which made adjusting very easy. The pieces were also soft enough to manipulate. However, the overall size was on the small side. It covered the inner perimeter of my face, leaving part of my forehead uncovered and my chin uncupped.
Adherence was great too! It clung on really well to my skin. There were no lifts or air bubbles throughout the masking process. I was even able to talk normally without having to mutter like a creepy person.
I took the mask off after 30 mins, the outside was dry but the inside was still damp.
The remaining essence absorbed with ease, leaving behind a slightly tacky and slight dewy finish.
My combo skin felt nicely hydrated and moisturized, enough not to apply a moisturizer afterwards. Just a layer of sun screen and I’m good to go! I think all skin types will enjoy this mask as the finish was very light and not icky at all. Dry skin might require a moisturizer over this mask.
The greatest improvement I saw was to the texture of my skin. It’s so smooth and soft like a baby’s butt! Pores looked smaller and fine lines were “ironed” out. It looks like I had a blurring effect going. Brightening was moderate but my skin definitely looks less red and very bouncy. Some redness did return within 15 mins.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
I’m super impressed with this mask! I don’t think Dearpacker has let me down yet. Check out more Dearpacker reviews here.
