Review: Tony Moly Pureness 100 Caviar Treatment Mask ★★★★☆
Tony Moly makes wonderful masks at a great price! I love their snail mask and propolis mask. This Pureness 100 Caviar (fish eggs) Treatment Mask is currently on the Tony Moly website for $2 a piece or $9.99 for a 7-pack variety set on Amazon. This post contains an affiliate link.
It claims to “provide moisture and nutrition to damaged skin, sooth stressed skin, and give a rich glow to skin.” It contains glycerin (hydration) and caviar (antioxidant, healing).
Today’s mugshot: skin is not too bad, some redness and dryness, overall a little dull.
I was a little surprised when I took the sheet mask out of the packet. It was covered in brown spots and I thought it might be mold. Upon some googling, turns out it is made with unbleached (yay!) cotton and that is how it looks like naturally.
The material felt thick yet soft and it smells a little like soap to me. It is also dripping with essence.
The overall shape of the sheet mask is not a very good fit for me. It is wider on the sides and did not cover my entire nose. Other than that, I was able to get it to fit around my facial contours pretty well without needing to cut slits.
I had this on for the recommended 30 minutes. During the entire process of masking, I did not feel any irritation, just pure bliss and the essence does wonders for my skin.
There was a generous amount of essence left on my skin upon removing the sheet mask. I massaged it in and even though the hydration was plenty, I sealed it in with a light moisturizer anyway.
Here is a side by side of the before and after pictures for comparison.
Right away I can tell that my skin is now brightened (especially the forehead area), glowing (cheeks area) and smoothed. Redness has also been reduced a and my skin felt nicely hydrated. It did not leave a sticky residue so I guess this would be a good mask to use under make up. For the price and quality, I highly recommend this and would definitely repurchase! Tony Moly has once again impressed me.
