Review: Esfolio Snail Essence Mask Sheet ★★★★☆

Greetings beautiful! I’m still trying to save my skin hence the review on a snail essence sheet mask today. I’ve heard many great things about Esfolio’s products so I’m really excited to try their sheet mask.

This Esfolio Snail Essence Mask Sheet is a soothing sheet mask with snail secretion filtrate and claims to moisturize and firm while calming stressed and troubled skin to promote faster cell regeneration. Vitamins and nutrients from natural ingredients like Ginseng and Portulaca Oleracea help refresh and rejuvenate.

Before masking

Here is my usual before mugshot. My skin is still red, irritated and dry. Prior to slapping on the sheet mask, I’ve already prepped my skin and skipped exfoliation to avoid further aggravating my sad sad skin.

Upon ripping the packet open, I noticed a strong, clean, almost plant-like, scent. It was a pretty pleasant scent, albeit a little too strong for my liking. The soft sheet mask is made of regular cotton and was drenched in clear essence. It does not come with a backing but it does unfold very easily.

I love the fit of this sheet mask! There is no need to make any incisions and yet it adhered to the contours of my face pretty well. One major issue I have with one-size-fits-all sheet masks is that the upper lip area always seem too long and I’ll end up consuming some essence if I don’t snip it off. But this is a perfect fit for me! Though I would prefer if the eye holes could be bigger.

After masking

I had this on for about 35 minutes and there was still a decent amount of essence left on my face. The was zero stinging throughout the entire masking process. I patted it in and sealed it with a light moisturizer and added eye cream. Here is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.

My skin felt soothed and no longer itchy and dry. It also looks like my skin is visibly dewier and less red. Pore size also seemed to have been reduced. The only thing I don’t like is that the scent is so strong that it lingered the entire masking process and is still present after I’ve patted the remaining essence in. The scent lasted the whole day.

For the price and the effect, I would definitely repurchase and recommend this to someone with sensitive and irritated skin.

Go be beautiful!
