Review: My Beauty Diary Lipsome Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Mask ★★★★★

My Beauty Diary has been one of my favorite sheet mask brands for a very long time. I remember using the collagen and hyaluronic acid sheet masks all the time way back when I was just a poor student and there weren’t many varieties of sheet masks in the market. Now that there are so many sheet mask brands, I still go back to My Beauty Diary whenver my face feels crappy and not up for trying out a new sheet mask. The rate at which they make improvements to the essence, sheet mask fit and material constantly astounds me. Yet prices have remained more or less the same over many years.  I have gone through countless boxes of these.

This new series is made of fiber cloth and contains Cosphingo™ lipsome technology (microscopic hyaluronic acid molecules) and combined with Aquaroad (skin penetration ingredient) to reach the dry, coarse cuticles, achieving optimal immersive skin hydration. It claims to deliver intense hydration and leave skin feeling moisturized and dewy. An 8-pack is available on Amazon for $25.

Before masking

In this mugshot, my skin is experiencing an allergic reaction hence it’s red, blotchy, dry and irritated. After cleansing my face, I skipped exfoliation and gently patted some toner on. Find out how I usually prep my skin for masking.

Upon opening the packet, there is a very light, almost undetectable fragrance. The sheet mask is also drenched in clear watery essence. It was very easy to pull out, unfold and arrange on my face.

I am absolutely in love with this new fabric. Not only is it super thin and soft, it fits perfectly on my face without having to make any incisions, which is what I do with 90% of sheet masks. Plus, the piece above my lip usually covers my top lip, but this one is thin enough to sit on my mustache area perfectly without also trying to get into my nostrils.

I had this on for about 35 minutes, there was zero stinging sensation throughout the entire masking process.

After masking

Upon removing it, there was still a thin layer of essence remaining on my face. I patted it in, applied eye cream and sealed it with a light moisturizer. Here is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures for comparison.

From the above comparison, I can tell that my skin is brighter, dewier and less red. My skin also feels calm and soothed, it is no longer tight and itchy. It leaves behind a very slight tacky feeling, which I like, and maintained the hydration in my skin the entire day.

As always, I am impressed by this mask due to how great the effects are for the price. This is my holy grail and I highly recommend this to everyone.

Go be beautiful!

Love,
Elaine
