Review: My Beauty Diary Alps Edelweiss Ultra Repairing Mask ★★★★☆
After two mask fails, I wanted to use something that I know will not disappoint me.
This is the My Beauty Diary Alps Edelweiss Ultra Repairing Mask. Look how pretty the artwork on the packaging is! This new series is made of fiber cloth and contains Cosphingo™ lipsome technology (microscopic hyaluronic acid molecules) and combined with Aquaroad (skin penetration ingredient) to reach the dry, coarse cuticles, achieving optimal immersive skin hydration. This particular variety contains avocado oil, meadowfoam, and licorice extracts. Beauteque has this for $1.99 per piece or $13.93 for a box of 8 on Amazon. This post contains an affiliate link.
My skin is extremely blotchy, dry, and flakey today. I blame the freeze effect in the bay area. I’ve cleansed and toned my skin, skipping exfoliation to let my skin continue to recover from contact dermatitis. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
The super soft and thin mask comes soaked in milky lotiony essence, which is my favorite kind. Since the sheet itself is super thin, it comes with a plastic backing which needs to be removed prior to use. There is also a light flowery fragrance.
Since the material is so thin, the adherence is amazing and makes smoothing out air bubbles a piece of cake. I also noticed a change in the positioning of the eye and mouth holes, it used to be a bad fit for me and would bunch up in the middle of my face. This newer version fits my face to perfection! 45 minutes later, there is still a good amount of essence left on my skin.
My skin felt very hydrated, I didn’t have to go in with a moisturizer. There is a slight tacky finish but I needed it in this cold weather. My skin also felt very supply and healthy. Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
There is a visible dewiness and reduction in redness to my skin. My only gripe is that there is no brightening effect, but it doesn’t claim to do that anyway. I highly recommend this and would repurchase over and over!
