My Beauty Diary Apple Polyphenol Mask

Review: My Beauty Diary Apple Polyphenol Mask ★★★★☆

Containing botanical extracts, citric acid and hyaluronic acid, it claims to clarify and tighten pores. The ultimate goal is to achieve balanced sebum secretion.

Before masking

I’ve been addressing my redness and dry issues for too long, it’s time to take care of those pores. Skin is looking not as red as usual, but it’s still pretty dry. I’ve already cleansed and toned, and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.

Material

Out of the packet, I was greeted by a heavenly smell of apples. Nothing too sweet, just fresh. The essence is clear and watery.

During masking

The material is pretty thin and soft, giving me a an okay fit and good adherence. I wish the eye holes were larger so essence doesn’t get into my eyes when I blink. I had this on for about 50 mins, just before the forehead area starts to dry out.

After masking

WOW! Just wow! After massaging in the remaining essence, my skin looks so bright and even, my pores are no where to be found! What sorcery is this?! My sensitive skin also did not freak out from this even though there is a presence of a couple of preservatives scoring 4 on the safety scale of Cosdna. Aside from the small eye holes, the other gripe I have is the insufficient hydration for my dry skin in the winter. The essence dries down slightly sticky at first and became completely dry within 30 mins. But nothing a light moisturizer can’t solve, easy peasy.

Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.

I’m guessing it would be just right, to quote Goldilocks, in the summer and for oily folks all year round. My skin still looks really bright and poreless the next morning, PIH seemed to have significantly faded. I will repurchase this for sure!
