Before masking

My skin is pretty terrible today. It’s very blotchy and still recovering from a bout of acne. I’ve already cleansed and toned, skipping exfoliation. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.

The material is pretty thick, but soft. However, I really do not like the scent. It smells of powder-covered grannies. The essence is watery and clear.

During masking

Fit was alright but adherence was pretty bad. My skin also stung the first 5 mins of wear. I powered through 40 mins of the bad scent and tingling feeling before happily ripping it off.

After masking

I did not notice any difference to my skin. It was still blotchy and dry. The essence even pills up when I layered a moisturizer over. 30 mins later, my skin broke out into an allergic reaction, which made my skin even redder red, itchy, and hot. I washed it off and just used an oil for hydration. It stopped feeling uncomfortable right away and my skin went back to normal the next day.

Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.

Affordable as it may be, I would steer clear of this mask.

Go be beautiful!
