Review: Annie’s Way Secret Garden Black Rose Devil’s Moisturizing Mask ★★★★★
Confession: My motivation behind buying this mask was solely due to the packaging. I’m a sucker for pretty packaging, and when there’s roses on it, I gotta grab it. Annie’s Way masks have been pretty impressive so far so that’s a bonus. This mask claims to moisturize and rejuvenate skin. Find more Annie’s Way reviews here.
Notable ingredients are rose flower water, hyaluronic acid, collagen, squalene and ferment extract. Sensitizing ingredients like carbomer and methylisothiazolinone are present so sensitive skin users please beware.
Skin is looking and feeling okay, just a tad dull. I’ve already cleansed, toned and exfoliated. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
Out of the packet, I was hoping to detect the classic rose scent, like Jayjun Rose Blossom mask, instead I detected a rose syrup scent. Which wasn’t bad but just wasn’t what I expected. It was very light anyway. The black material is super soft and thin and soaked in clear runny essence. It also comes with a perforated pearlized backing.
Adherence and fit are amazing due to the softness of the material. I had this on for about an hour, with adding the remaining essence to my face halfway through.
WOW! 😱 My skin looks so bright, poreless and blemish free, just like porcelain! To add on to that, the essence dried down matte, which made my skin look so smooth! The visual effects only lasted half a day though. My skin also feels hydrated enough to not need a moisturizer.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
This is a freaking amazing mask in my book, HG status for sure! I’d recommend using this during the day and before makeup, especially before an important event.
