Karuna is a US brand that produces various types of sheet masks, for face, under eyes, even hands and feet. The brand is definitely more expensive than Asian brands, but it makes one of the best quality sheet masks in the market. I gave a stellar review to the hydrating version.
I love the packaging of Karuna’s sheet masks. The logo, packaging color and texture are so elegant.
The oil-free formula contains a blend of hyaluronic acid and peptides to renew, aloe vera and chamomile to hydrate, and Chinese licorice and vitamin B to detoxify.
My skin is feeling a little dry today and I’m still battling two gigantic pimples this week. They are huge, deep, and painful to the touch. Please be prepared for a close-up of said pimples. You have been warned.
I’ve already cleansed, toned and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
Out of the packet, I did not detect any fragrance till I stick my nose in the packet and caught a faint green tea scent. The medium thick fiber mask felt super soft. Essence was watery and clear.
It came with a plastic backing and has more than enough cuts to give me a great fit. Adherence is just okay, it did try to unpeel from my nose, mouth and chin areas.
I had this on for about 45 mins, no sensitivity. While patting the leftover essence it, I noticed it turning white and then disappeared. My skin felt super smooth and supple.
However, there wasn’t enough hydration for my combo dry skin hence I topped it off with a light moisturizer. My pores looked smaller and my skin tone even. It also looks like redness around the pimples have faded and are concentrated only to the center.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
I have never been disappointed with Karuna masks, will repurchase! Recommended for oily skin peeps or peeps living in hotter climates.
