Review: Dearpacker Black Ginseng Gold Hydrogel Mask ★★★★★
Can we take a moment to admire the adorable packaging! 😍 It took alot of will power to tear this open. This is a hydrogel mask and it claims to nourish and anti-age.
Notable ingredients: panax ginseng root extract (antioxidant), green tea (antioxidant), skullcap (anti-inflammatory), honey (hydrate), and a bunch of essential oils like bergamot, sandalwood and coriandor.
My skin is feeling slightly dry and mildly irritated today. I’ve cleansed, toned, and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
There wasn’t a faint, almost undetectable ginseng scent. Essence was watery, there wasn’t a whole lot left in the packet.
I was surprised to see a black hydrogel since the packaging stated gold hydrogel mask. The black hydrogel came in 2 pieces, top and bottom. Each piece of hydrogel was sandwiched between 2 plastic backings. Up close, there were specks on gold embedded into the black hydrogel. Closer inspection shows a smooth side and a rough side, I think the smooth side goes on to the skin.
Fit was…awkward. nose and mouth holes were too big and there was this weird heart shaped gap on the chin. Adherence was amazing, as with most hydrogel masks. I had this on for about 30 mins. There wasn’t any essence left to pat in.
It was tingling ever so slightly on sensitive areas of my skin.
My skin felt well hydrated and looks better than it feels. Skin texture is smooth with smaller pores, fine lines were “ironed” out. It looks like I had a blurring effect going. Brightening was moderate but my skin definitely looks less red and very plumped. Just a layer of hydrating sunscreen and I’m good to go for the entire day.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
I highly recommend this and will repurchase! Check out more Dearpacker reviews here.
