This mask contains gold, which helps firm the skin, and hyaluronic acid, which offers rich hydration, makes the skin clear and moisturized. Find my reviews on other NOHJ masks here.
In this golden foil mask pack, the foil sheet, which resolved problems of modeling pack and conventional mask sheets, prevents moisture loss through evaporating from the skin and maintains the skin temperature so that the 28g of essence can be effectively absorbed into the skin.
Notable ingredients: hyaluronic acid (3rd), lemon extract (5th), colloidal gold (nanoparticles of gold suspended in water) (6th), and centella asiatica (7th).
My skin is feeling pretty alright today, just some dryness. I’ve cleansed, toned, and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
The foil material felt pretty thick and stiff. It has a pretty honeycombed pattern on both sides, except one side is gold and the other is fabric. The fabric side is supposed to go on the skin.
There wasn’t a significant scent, it was so light I couldn’t smell anything. It was dripping with clear, gooey essence.
Fit was terrible. Eye and mouth holes were too small, humongous nose tent and excess material on the sides. Adherence was okay.
I had this on for 35 mins, my skin felt warm and slightly uncomfortable as the weather is now warmer.
After some patting, the leftover essence absorbed quickly and left a matte finish. My skin felt very hydrated and looked very bright the entire day. Redness was slightly reduced abd PIH was lightened. However, it did leave behind some creases and gold flecks.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
Effective as it may be, I wouldn’t repurchase due to the horrendous fit and warming effect.
