Review: Skinfood Marine Food Gel Mask Jellyfish ★★★★★
This hydrogel mask contains jellyfish extract and collagen that help aid dry, dehydrated skin. Jellyfish extracts help aid the quick absorption of collagen and are made up of 94-98% water and gelatin. This mask sheet delivers nutrients and minerals from the ocean to nourish skin and provides deep, long-lasting hydration. I can’t get over the comic sans font on the back of the packaging 🙈
My skin is feeling very dry and very irritated today. I’ve cleansed, toned, and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
The hydrogel came in 2 pieces, top and bottom, and were sandwiched between a plastic backing and a thin paper backing.
The mask was very very slippery, I almost dropped it a couple of times. The hydrogels have a textured side and a smooth side, make sure the smooth side goes on the skin.
Essence was slimey and gooey. There was a very strong perfumey fragrance that lingered even after masking.
Fit was great, though I wish it would cover my forehead more. Adherence was okay, they were slipping down ever so slowly. I had this on for 30 mins, no sensitivity.
There was little to no essence left to pat in. Finish was tacky but it went away pretty quickly. My skin looked absolutely amazing! Brightening and hydration were moderate but I think the most obvious improvement was my skin texture. Pore size was reduced and pitted scars were plumped up. My skin looked so smooth and glowy it’s like I had highlighter on. I couldn’t stop inspecting my skin throughout the day 😳
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
