Review: A by BOM Super Power Baby Doll Mask ★★★★☆

This is a 3-step mask pack that includes an eye serum, a soothing cream, and a sheet mask. It claims to create moist and vibrant skin just like a baby with natural ingredients like niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, ceramide, fermented complex extract, apple extract, and betaine. It’s free of mineral oil, artificial pigment, triethanolamine, and benzophenone. It’s also very affordable for a 3-step mask.

$29.94 for a box of 10 on Amazon.

Before masking

My skin is experiencing some sensitivity and redness today. I’ve cleansed, toned, and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.

Step1: Eye serum

Containing panthenol, aloe vera leaf juice and green tea, the eye serum came out like a gel and gave off a faint ginger scent. There was plenty left in the packaging, enough for 2-3 uses. It took a hot minute for the serum to absorb into the skin around my eyes and left a sticky finish.

Step 2: Brightening soothing cream

Containing peptide, hyaluronic acid, betaine, patented plant complex extract, jojoba oil, and shea butter, the soothing cream has a typical white cream consistency and gave off an expensive perfume scent. There was enough for 2 uses because it’s pretty thick and emollient, I smeared on a thin layer.

After step 2

After those 2 steps, my skin felt like it’s covered in a layer of glue.

Material

Out of the packet, the sheet mask smells like another expensive perfume. Essence was clear and gooey. The sheet material reminds me of a would bandage, breathable and soft. It’s made of 100% cotton.

During masking

Fit was alright, it was partially covering my top lip, which I find pretty uncomfortable. The sheet was also too wide for me hence the sides were folded down. Adherence was pretty decent. I did experience a slight tingling sensation for the first 10 mins. I had this on for a total of 50 mins (lost track time 😅)

After masking

There were lots of essence to massage in. But it felt really comfortable, like spreading a gel around my face. It felt very hydrating, but not too thick and stifling. There was also some slight calming and brightening effects. Finish was glossy dewy without an uncomfortable layer of moisturizing film.

Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.

Considering the low price point for a great 3-step system, I’d totally repurchase!

Go be beautiful!
