Dermal Pearl Collagen Essence Mask claims to brighten, hydrate, and balance the skin with 0.2% hydrolyzed collagen (nourish), green purslane (antioxidate), 0.02% pearl powder (brighten), beta-glucan (soothe), and vitamin E (hydrate).
My skin is experiencing some sensitivity today. I’ve cleansed, toned, and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
Out of the packet, I detected a strong powdery fragrance. Like the gold variant I tried last week, the sheet felt very thick and stiff. Essence was clear and watery, but not drippy.
Fit and adherence were also exactly the same as the gold variant. The sides were too wide so I folded them down. Eye flaps are a bonus. Adherence was disappointing. Air bubbles started appearing as soon as I smoothed them out. Material around the chin was also hanging loose the entire time. Fold lines were also hard to flatten, they were contributing to the air pockets. I had this on for 35 mins and it was drying out and hanging loose.
After massaging in the remaining essence on my skin, which didn’t take much effort since it absorbed right away, my skin felt nicely hydrated (probably insufficient for winter but perfect for summer) and had a silky finish. But I was taken aback by how bright and even my skin tone looks! Redness was diminished and skin looks super healthy overall.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
I like this better than the gold variant. For a 98 cents mask, this is highly underrated. I will definitely repurchase! Check out reviews of more Dermal masks here.
