Vanedo Beauty Friends Marine Algae Essence Mask

Review: Vanedo Beauty Friends Marine Algae Essence Mask ★★★★☆

I’ve never heard of this brand Vanedo. It is super affordable and comes in more than 12 different types. If possible, I would like to try out the 5 other types I have in my stash.

This water-soluble marine algae essence mask claims to rejuvenate and moisturize sensitive skin with purslane extract (soothe), hyaluronic acid (hydrate), and red algae extract (antioxidate).

This also contains potentially sensitizing ingredients like methylparaben, phenoxyethanol, carbomer, and triethanol amine. Please take note.

My skin is feeling pretty good today. It’s just a tad red, with a few post acne marks that need fading. I’ve cleansed, toned, and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.

Out of the packet, I caught a scent that smells like a mixture of the ocean and perfume. Essence was clear and watery. The sheet felt thick, stiff, and rough.

Fit was great! Adherence was meh. It was hard to smooth out the air bubbles due to how rough the sheet was. The material around my chin refuses to adhere, leaving me with a goatee throughout. It tingled around my nasolabial area for the first 10 mins. I had this on for a total of 25 mins, the sheet was mostly detached and dry.

What little essence left on my skin absorbed right away. My skin felt moderately hydrated and looked very bright and even. Redness was also mostly gone. Finish was matte.

Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.

This is a great day time mask for a non-special day. I like how affordable it is!
