Review: L’Herboflore Four Kernels Oil-Control Mask ★★★★☆
L’Herboflore packaging always takes my breath away, especially this one! It’s so exquisite and totally in line with the functions of this mask.
This mask claims to soften skin cells, purify the pores and balance oily skin using four specifically selected Chinese kernels: job’s tears, mung beans, peach seed, and gardenia seed. They sounds delicious!
My skin is experiencing some redness today plus a few post acne marks that need fading. I’ve cleansed, toned, and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
Out of the packet, I caught a whiff of clean scent. The mask sheet came sandwiched between 2 backings because the cotton seed material was so thin and soft, it felt like silk masks.
Due to how soft and thin the sheet was, adjusting it to fit my facial contours was pretty challenging. I spent quite some time in front of the mirror trying to unfold because once it starts folding onto itself, it refuses to come undone. Adherence was amazing! It felt like second skin! I had this on for 30 mins, the edges were starting to dry up and turn white.
After removing the sheet, the remaining essence absorbed really quickly and left behind a matte, non-sticky finish. My skin felt nicely hydrated and looked very bright. Pore size was also greatly diminished. Still was still slightly red. At the end of the day, my skin did not get as greasy as usual. Oil-controlling capabilities are legit!
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
This is still a pretty pricey mask so I’d only get it on special occasions when I want my makeup to last all day. This is also definitely a hot day mask.
