This is the ultimate #skintertainment mask. I can’t believe this is made out of 100% real sea kelp and soaked in fermented sea kelp and bamboo serum. It’s a delicacy and my taste buds love it but I’ve never thought about putting it on mah skin. I love spinach too, should I make a sheet mask out of it?
Anyhoos, the claims of this mask are a plenty: wrinkle improvement; skin brightening; depuff face; pore size reduction; skin grain improvement; 72 hours skin moisture; and skin transparency improvement.
Do note that it contains aloe maculata leaf extract, different from the usual aloe barbadensis leaf extract that is present in 99% of sheet masks. Aloe macalata is a yellowish sap than runs more in the skin of the aloe than in the middle. It has a caustic sap that is a potential skin irritant, not an emollient, and may cause dermatitis on sensitive skin types.

My skin is feeling dry and looking slightly red and dull today. I’ve cleansed, toned, and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
Out of the packet, this stinks of ocean like no other. Essence was yellowish, gooey, and did I mention stinky? The mask sheet was… you know, green and slimey kelp. Good thing it came sandwiched between 2 backings or I wouldn’t have any idea how to handle this.
Fit was great since it came in 2 pieces, for the top and bottom parts of the face. Adherence sucks though, because kelp. The pieces refused to bend according to the undulations of my face. It was also slipping down and I had to pull it up the whole time. I kept this on for as long as I could, 20 mins. It was tingling throughout.
I left this out to dry and the entire thing turned very stiff. There’s no unraveling the bottom part, which I purposely let dry crumpled. It felt like a thin card at this point.
It took quite abit of massaging to get the slimey essence to dry down. It dried down sticky and dewy. My skin felt very hydrated, and looked a little less red and a little brighter. However, I did smell like kelp the entire day.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
So for day time, I suggest either rinsing it off or wiping it off with a cleansing water after masking. Night time is fine though I personally think the stink would keep me awake. Check out more Whamisa reviews here.
Go be beautiful!
