This product claims to hydrate, soothe, and repair damaged skin to restore healthy skin barrier. It can also be used as an acne spot treatment. The star ingredients are centella asiatica extract (healing) and edulis callus extract (antibacterial).
This gel-cream comes in a 50ml metal squeeze tube, not my favorite type of packaging because I’m already having daily battles with a tube of toothpaste. Product spreads easily and feels like a thicker gel upon contact with skin. It feels very comfortable on the skin and absorbs very easily, even on top of toners and serums.
For a month, I use it every PM as the very last step of my fairly simple routine. The amount of hydration is sufficient for my combo-dehydrated skin. On colder nights I layer on a sleeping mask for added moisture. On it’s own, it does a great job of reducing my redness and restoring the thickness of my epidermis after a bout of peeling from sensitivity issues.
My favorite way of using this is mixing a pea-sized amount of this with an equal part of Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream. My skin got even better from this mixture, I no longer wake up with red cheeks and stretchy skin. The sum of their parts is greater than the whole.
This tube is going to last me a really long time, but once I’m out I’m highly considering getting another tube. Check out more Isntree reviews here.
