Review: CNF Cosmetic Litchi with Iceland Glacial Water Brightening Face Mask ★★★☆☆

I have never heard of CNF Cosmetic but a quick search told me that this company manufactures sheet masks for popular brands like 23 Years Old, Papa Recipe, Tony Moly, Goodal, The Saem, Labiotte, Vprove and more. The masks in this range are unique in the sense that all of them contain 970ppm of Icelandic glacial water and different fruit extracts depending on the functionalities of each sheet mask.

There are 5 ‘flavors’ in total and I picked litchi or lychee because it’s one of my favorite fruits to eat, too bad it’s not easily found in the US.

With a presence of 200ppm in this mask pack, lychee is a mistletoe that does not dry out even in the middle of water. It provides deep vitality and nutrients to skin and improves the health of skin. Icelandic glacial water (970ppm) is full of natural mineral that brightens and purifies skin.

Before masking

My skin is feeling pretty good today, just a tad dry. I’ve cleansed, toned, and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.

Out of the packet, I was greeted by a sweet lychee scent. Essence was runny but felt sticky as I’d imagine how watered down lychee juice would feel like. The soft and thin sheet was dripping with essence the moment I pulled it out of the packet.

Upon closer inspection, I noticed ridges on the fabric. Apparently, this is their special air-seal masks that are naturally-derived, eco-friendly, breathable, and gives good adherence.

During masking

Fit was great! It was long enough to cover my entire forehead and also cup my chin. There were some excess on the sides to cater to wider faces.

Adherence was alright. It was a little challenging to smooth out the bubbles and fold lines. Bubbles did resurface in 5 mins. I had this on for 30 mins, white patches were starting to show. This means it’s drying out.

After masking

The leftover essence on my skin absorbed fairly quickly. It gave me the perfect amount of hydration without a hydrating film on my skin. Finish was silky and non-tacky. My skin looked so bright, to the point of being white. However, I did not notice any change to my pores, redness, nor PIH. The effects did not last on me, after 4 hours, my skin felt dry but with a thin layer of grease on top. This happened despite me sealing it in with a moisturizer right after masking. But it did deliver what it promised with was brightening.

Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.

This is more suited for oily skin types and a great one for beginners because the variety pack is so affordable.
