Review: Dr Jart+ V7 Toning Mask ★★★★☆

The Dr. Jart+ V7 Toning Mask is a super-light, skin-brightening sheet mask, containing 7 different vitamins and white jade.

It contains vitamins A, B3, B5, C, E, F, and H, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and beta-glucan. The ingredients list looks long but the top 10 ingredients look pretty good and also scoring ones on CosDNA.

Before masking

My skin is feeling a tad dry and very sensitive today. I’ve cleansed, toned, and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.

Material

Out of the packet, I detected a citrusy fragrance. The microfiber sheet mask felt super soft and super thin. It came with a fabric backing which made unfolding and application alot easier. Essence was creamy and unevenly spread out on the material. So I manually spread it around to get an even application.

Fit was great! But I wished the eye holes were bigger, they were not bothering me, just a little vision block when I look down.

Adherence was amazing. This mask clung on for its dear life the moment it touched my skin. So make sure it’s positioned correctly before it touches the skin. Smoothing out the air bubbles was a little challenging due to how soft the material was.

I took the mask off after 30 mins it was still very damp.

After masking

There was lots of cream left to pat in, which took awhile since the absorption rate wasn’t as fast as a runny essence. My skin felt highly hydrated and baby soft. I also noticed lots of brightening but only some calming. My skin tone seemed a shade lighter too. But this effect was only temporary as I noticed my skin reverting to it’s previous shade after a day. Finish was greasy and dewy. There was no need for a moisturizer even in the winter.

Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.

I personally think this is not a repurchase for me since I tend to focus on calming my redness. However, this mask is a must-try for dry skin types that are battling with winter dullness. Check out more Dr Jart+ reviews here.
