Review: Red Earth Have Fun Hydrating Facial Mask ★★.☆

Red Earth Have Fun Hydrating Facial Mask is formulated to replenish dehydrated skin and leave it glowing. There are 5 different packaging illustrations but they all contain the same type of sheet mask. What a fun idea! I picked this yellow packaging because I really like the message on it.

Key ingredients:

  • Hyaluronic acid helps support skin hydration.
  • Centella asiatica helps increase circulation and maintenance of collagen, which is vital to keeping skin taut and youthful.
  • Aloe Vera, Chrysanthellum, and b contains antioxidant to help the skin retain optimal moisture balance

This mask is formulated without phthalate, mineral oil, petrochemical, synthetic ingredient, preservative, artificial fragrance, artificial colorant, triclosan, sulfate, and gluten.

Red Earth is a beauty company established in Melbourne Australia in 1991, it’s been around for 25 years. I remember seeing this brand when it first launched in Esprit stores. It has since disappeared for quite some time and now it has resurfaced! This brand promotes raw beauty and effortless style that embraces imperfections. Totally up my alley!

Before masking

My skin is feeling slightly dry and very irritated today. I’ve cleansed, toned, and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.

Out of the packet, I detected a very faint floral fragrance. The material felt papery thin and reminded me of Naruko masks. They came without backings but it wasn’t too difficult to unfold and apply. Essence had a runny consistency so be prepared for drips. Despite containing only 20 ml of essence, I still found enough essence left in the packet for my neck and arms.

Fit was great! The holes were perfectly lined up with my features and the sheet was big enough to cover my entire face with some to spare. There was multiple deep and shallow cuts to aid with the fit.

Adherence was alright. It stayed put for the most part if I don’t move. However, just 5 mins into masking and the forehead area was drying out. Also, tiny air bubbles surfaced throughout the wear.

I took the mask off after 20 mins, it was mostly dry with white patches.

After masking

There was some essence left on the skin. While patting in the essence, I was reminded of patting in a thick hydrating toner. Finish was silky and slightly tacky. Hydration was above average. I also noticed some calming effects but nothing else.

Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.

This mask is suitable for adding quick hydration and prepping the skin for make up.
