Review: Sexylook Disney Princess Black Mask Ariel ★★.☆
Sexylook Disney Princess Black Mask Ariel contains natural extracts and active ingredients to detoxify and clarify the skin. Made of pure cotton, this black sheet mask absorbs dirt and excessive sebum while deeply moisturizing and brightening the skin. It also contains vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, to achieve a healthier, moisturized skin.
This series of “princess” masks come in 4 variations, each with a different function like moisturizing (Ariel), brightening (Snow White), soothing (Belle), and anti-aging (Cinderella). The packaging looks adorable! My inner child is coming out and screaming “I love Disney princesses!”
My skin is feeling slightly dry and very irritated today. I’ve cleansed, toned, and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
The black cotton mask felt soft and has medium thickness. It did not come with a backing which I think would really help with the unfolding and application judging from how soft the material felt. Essence was clear and had a gel consistency. The scent was so faint it was almost scentless.
Fit was great! The overall size of the mask was huge enough to cover my entire face. It also had a shape that was wider than it was long. The holes were also large enough and were perfectly lined up with my features. Having multiple deep cuts also helped with achieving a great fit.
Adherence was great! At least from what I could feel since it was impossible to gauge if air bubbles were present or not.
10 mins into the masking session and I felt a tingling sensation around my more sensitive nasolabial areas. I decided to power on and only removed the mask after a total of 30 mins.
Fortunately, I did not see any redness nor sensitivity around the areas that tingled. The first thing I noticed about my skin was the evenness of my skin tone. My skin looked a couple shades lighter, this was a temporary effect. The remaining essence absorbed into my skin with ease, leaving a matte and non-tacky finish. Hydration was above average and redness was also slightly reduced. I also noticed specks of black lint remaining on my skin.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
To me, this is more like a balancing mask that is more suitable for oily skin types. I’m personally not impressed and will not repurchase. Check out more Sexylook reviews here.
