Medius SOS Water Balm Mask – Brightening Care claims to provide a quick hydra effect for sensitive and dry skin. Using their own “SOS Water Balm Formula”, this mask ensures quick hydration and protection to the skin.
With glutathione as the main ingredient, it works together with hyaluronic acid, damask rose extract, and pearl extract to reduce melanin and brighten dull and uneven skin.
I love the vintage design on the packaging!

My skin is feeling slightly dry and very irritated today. I’ve cleansed, toned, and exfoliated my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
Out of the packet, this mask gave off a lotiony fragrance. It had a milky gelly consistency which reminded my of ahem*. Containing 30 ml of essence meant there was an abundance of essence, so I slathered it all over my face, whilst trying to get my mind out of the gutter.
The eucalyptus fiber sheet made of ultra-fine yarn technology felt rough and slightly stiff. It came with a netted backing which really helped with the unfolding and application. It was unevenly coated with essence so I’m glad I slathered the excess essence on my face before placing the mask on top of it.
Fit was great! The sheet was large enough to cover my entire. The holes were perfectly lined up with my features.
Adherence was above average. Fold lines stayed down for the most part, but some of them did pop up throughout the wear, which introduced air bubbles in.
I took this mask off after 30 mins, it was still pretty damp.
There was lots of thick gel essence left to pat in, absorption took longer than a runny essence would. My skin felt extremely hydrated, I could get away without a moisturizer even in the winter. Skin also felt baby soft, bouncy, and plump. I also noticed alot less redness and some brightening. Finish was dewy and tacky, so this is more of a night time mask.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
Overall, this gave me a healthy glow, which is what I really need in the colder months. I look forward to testing out the other varieties! Check out more Medius reviews here. Check out more Medius reviews here.
