My skin is feeling dry and slightly irritated and congested. I’ve cleansed, exfoliated, and toned my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.
Out of the packet, I caught a faint chemical scent. The black charcoal (bitochan) fiber sheet had a medium thinness and felt soft. It did not come with a backing yet unfolded and applied relatively easily. This black sheet was specially processed using beech wood charcoal of the finest quality. Its ability to purify skin promotes a clear and healthy complexion.
The packet contained 30 ml of clear gel essence. It had a viscous consistency and completely soaked and coated the black sheet. There was enough leftover for the rest of my body.
Fit was above average. The sheet was wider than it was long. Hence, my forehead was partially uncovered and the material barely cupped my skin. There was still some excess on the sides. The holes were perfectly lined up with my features but the holes eyes were a little too small for my liking.
Adherence was great! The material clung on and did not budge at all.
I took the mask off after 30 mins, it was still very damp.
There were lots of essence left to pat in. Finish looked dewy and felt slightly tacky.
My skin felt very hydrated and moisturized. It also felt soft and supple to the touch. There were slight brightening and calming effects. The greatest improvement I saw was the texture of my skin. Fine lines were plumped and pore size was reduced, giving way to a smooth and even texture.
Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.
I’m not sure if this cleaned out my pores or not, but I really enjoyed the hydration it gave me. However, as my skin battles with irritation and redness on a daily basis, this might not be suitable for me. Even so, this is still a quality mask and I think people whose only issue is dryness will really benefit from this. Check out more Goodal reviews here.
