Review: Foreverskin Salmon Moisture Mask ★★★★☆

Foreverskin Salmon Moisture Mask contains a special formula that forms a protective film over the skin while hydrating, moisturizing, and brightening the skin.

It contains HPDR (Highly Polymerized Deoxy-Ribonucleic Acid) 1% Solution. HPDR is a biopolymer substance extract from wild salmon DNA that improves skin smoothness by suppressing collagen breakdown and maximizing skin moisture retention levels by slowing down the evaporation of water from the epidermis. HPDR also forms a powerful barrier that protects the skin from various foreign contaminant particles, reducing skin damage from everyday exposure to the harmful elements.

Other key ingredients include salmon egg extract (50ppm), centella asiatica extract, berry extracts, and rice extract.

Foreverskin Salmon Moisture Mask
Before masking

My skin is feeling slightly dry and looking red, but not irritated. I’ve cleansed, exfoliated, and toned my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.

Material

Out of the packet, I caught a heavy perfume fragrance. It’s the sort that made my sensitive nostrils hurt. Consisting entirely of bamboo components, this PT cell sheet had a medium thickness yet felt very soft and plush. This material also has the ability to shrink as it dries so that it pulls the skin and stimulates elasticity. It was easy to unfold and apply so it did not come with a backing. Essence has a watery-gel consistency. I was surprised to find such a small sheet contained within such a large packaging.

During masking

Fit was good. The overall size of the sheet was on the small side. It was covering the inner perimeter of my face. Aside from a small nose tent, the holes were perfectly lined up with my features so no major complains there.

Adherence was also good. I noticed some tiny air bubbles snaking in throughout the wear but other than that, it stay put and fold lines stayed down the entire time.

I took the mask off after 25 mins, the edges were starting to feel dry but had not turned white yet. I was glad to be able to remove the sheet mask due to my low tolerance for heavy fragrances.

After masking

I massaged the remaining essence into my skin, it felt like I was applying a gel moisturizer. Finish looked silky and had a velvety feel to it.

My skin felt nicely hydrated and moisturized on my combo skin that’s prone to dehydration. When used in the day time, I had no need for a moisturizer. When in the evening, I would require an emulsion type of moisturizer to seal everything in. I also noticed my skin looking alot less red. Brightening effects were minimal.

Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.

I don’t particularly love this sheet mask, but I do not hate it either. It’s one of those above average masks that might make it into HG status for people with dry skin. Oily skin types, please stay away from this.
