Review: Benton Goodbye Redness Centella Mask Pack ★★★★☆

Before masking

My skin is feeling normal to oily as the days get hotter. My skin is also looking a little more flushed than usual. I’ve cleansed and toned my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.

The eco-friendly S-cell sheet felt like a cross between cotton and microfiber. It’s soft and had a medium thinness. It did not come with a backing but did not prove to be a challenge to unfold and apply. It was drenched in clear runny essence but wasn’t dripping all over the place.

Fit was great! On my face shape, the sheet managed to cover most of my forehead and cup my chin. The holes were perfectly lined with my features and were of the right size. There wasn’t any excess material at the sides so I think people with wider face shapes might find the coverage insufficient.

Adherence was great! It was so snug that no air bubbles or lifts occurred during the entire masking process.

I took the mask off after 30 mins, it was starting to dry out and was clinging onto my skin tighter than before.

After masking

The remaining essence patted in with ease, leaving behind a velvety feel and semi-matte finish. While the essence absorbed, I felt a cooling and refreshing sensation on my skin for a minute.

Hydration was moderate and moisturization was mild. As such, this makes a great balancing mask for oily and combo skin. On my combo skin, I still required a hydrating serum and gel moisturizer to prevent dehydration. Dry skin will find this insufficient for their needs so this is will be best used as a toner mask right after cleansing, prior to layers of essences, serums, and moisturizers.

The greatest improvement I noticed was how calm and radiant my skin looked. My skin looked pink in the “After” picture but in real life, there wasn’t a trace of it. My skin also felt moderately plump with a smooth skin texture.

Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.

This mask did what it claimed to do and is suitable for all skin types. It is also very affordable and I’ll be turning to these whenever I have any issues with sensitivity.

Go be beautiful!
